Join us on the evening of Tuesday 8 November for a series of in-person careers and commercial awareness workshops with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, CMS, Eversheds Sutherland and The University of Law.
The event, which is free and open to all students, takes place from 5pm to 8pm at The University of Law's Manchester campus. Students will attend four workshops, each 30-minutes long, delivered by lawyers at the participating firms as well as a careers expert from ULaw.
Midway through the event there is 40 minutes of networking with the firms' trainees and graduate recruitment teams over drinks and snacks.
The workshop themes:
• Legal tech and the future of law (delivered by Katie Philpot, a real estate senior associate, Karen English, a real estate associate director, Chris Wheatley, a senior forensic consultant and Michelle Tunney, senior manager of legal process delivery and emerging talent at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner)
• Applications masterclass (delivered by Kate Hammond, a tutor at ULaw)
• Commercial Awareness: What is it? How do I demonstrate this? (delivered by Ella Adlard, early talent acquisition advisor and Dominika Gasiorowski, trainee at CMS)
• The big commercial awareness themes affecting global law firms (delivered by Edward Moss, insurance and reinsurance senior associate, and Mikki Redhead, a trainee at Eversheds Sutherland)
