Join us on the evening of Thursday 27 October for a series of in-person careers and commercial awareness workshops with Mills & Reeve, Shearman & Sterling, Shoosmiths and The University of Law.
The event, which is free and open to all students, takes place from 5pm to 8pm at The University of Law's campus in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Students will attend four workshops, each 30-minutes long, delivered by lawyers at the participating firms as well as a careers expert from ULaw. Midway through the event there is 40 minutes of networking with the firms' trainees and graduate recruitment teams over drinks and snacks.
The workshop themes:
• Life as an Employment Lawyer (delivered by Nick Abbott, a partner at Mills & Reeve)
• Applications (ULaw)
• Understanding US Law Firms (delivered by Paul Gascoyne, a senior recruitment manager at Shearman Sterling)
• My Journey into Law (delivered by Kishma Bolaji, a principle associate at Shoosmiths and co-chair of Birmingham Black Lawyers)
